David Leach
David Leach started in 1930 with father Bernard Leach as student, manager and partner at the Leach Pottery, St Ives until 1956. Now after 55years potting, works alone on thrown stoneware and porcelain , mostly commissions and individual pots. Exhibits regularly in U.K, U.S.A and Japan in group or one man shows. Work in many national and continental museums. Past chairman of the Craftsmen Potters Association and Council member of the Crafts Council. Spends part of each year giving lectures, demonstrations and workshops chiefly in USA, Canada and on the continent.
His work is characteristically decorated, and much sought after.
