I have always enjoyed making things with wood, making with clay came a little later, it seemed natural to combine both skills.

I use reclaimed or found wood, it’s good to find a second life for what is often discarded, it adds to the creative process and unexpected solutions come from it.

All the pots are coiled, pinched and paddled to shape and wood-fired to stoneware using simple glazes made from the ashes of wood.

I have been making pots since the mid 70’s and exhibit and sell my work throughout Europe. Some finds it’s way even further afield and is held in private collections in Austria, Germany and USA.

I work in rural Leicestershire and believe that well made simple and tactile pots are always a delight to hold and cherish.
