Sue Hanna

Sue Hanna studied at St Martin's School of Art, London where she obtained a BA Hons degree in Fine Art (Sculpture). She works from her own studio in Pembrokeshire.

Her work is decorated with slips made from locally dug clays, and then raku or sagger fired.

"I am inspired by tribal art, which has developed an appreciation of the power of simplicity. The masks and figures of different cultures have informed and broadened my interest in and understanding of both beauty and craftsmanship, of contrast and opposites, darkness and light, wakefulness & sleep, and of the cycle of life itself.”
